UK hotel operator launches new loyalty scheme
24 Dec 2010
UK hotel operator QHotels has launched a new loyalty scheme in a bid to attract more business customers.
QHotels, which owns 21 properties across Britan, has invested £26,000 developing the ThankQ Rewards programme and has already attracted over 1,500 members in its first month of operation.
The programme offers guests the chance to accrue two loyalty points for every £1 they spend during their stay.
These points can then be redeemed for a range of rewards including a room upgrade and champagne, as well as discounts on their next stay in one of the firm's hotels.
David Taylor, QHotels' sales director, claimed many business travellers overlook the range of hotels on offer.
He said: "Many of our hotels, such as The Midland and The Queens, Leeds, occupy key city centre positions, whereas hotels like the Cheltenham Chase, the Oxford Belfry, Tankersley Manor (Sheffield) and The Nottingham Belfry are all just minutes from a main motorway junction and handy for those business travellers who spend a great deal of time on the road going from A to B for business meetings."
