Wrexham loyalty scheme used by 11,000 people
21 Oct 2009
Three businessmen in Wrexham, north Wales have registered early success with a loyalty scheme that aims to boost business in the local area.
According to the Daily Post, John Ulotti, Craig Lewis and Nigel Lewis have seen more than 11,000 people get involved in the loyalty programme they established, which is dubbed Wrexham Savers.
The initiative sees those who sign up receive cards, which can be used to buy items in shops around Wrexham.
Consumers are rewarded with discounts and special offers, meaning that both customer and businesses can reap the benefits.
Mr Ulotti told the newspaper: "We wanted to create a central portal which consumers could visit to see what special offers were on and where local companies could reach consumers in an effective way."
Another aim was to ensure people choose Wrexham to do their shopping, he added.
Meanwhile, eMoney network sQuidcard is helping Coffee Republic boost return visits from its customers by running a loyalty scheme for the retailer.
