New contactless smart card report available

A report that analyses the global smart card technology market can be accessed via Reportlinker.com's catalogue.

Detailing estimates for contactless smart cards usage in North America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin countries, the publication could be a useful guide for those in the industry.

Annual forecasts are provided for all the aforementioned areas for the nine-year period between 2006 and 2015.

It comes after the Smart Card Alliance published a document this month, highlighting areas where contactless smart card payment methods can be improved.

Dubbed Issuer and Merchant Best Practices: Promoting Contactless Payments Usage and Acceptance, the paper was produced by the alliance's Contactless and Mobile Payments Council.
