Teaching cash management 'great with eMoney cards'

Prepaid eMoney cards are a great option for parents who are keen to teach their children about managing their finances, according to a lovemoney.com writer.

The website's Szu Ping Chan said the cards are a wise budgeting option for children, as "you can't spend more than you have on the card already".

She said that prepaid eMoney cards offer children and parents the ability to keep track of their balance online or via text message.

"Kids - obviously this is a generalisation here - but they might spend away and not realise it and obviously if they do try and go over their limit they won't be able to spend on it at all," Ms Chan explained. 

sQuidcard is a child-friendly contactless cash payment system that is easy to track - and can be safer than cash.

Users will never go in to debt on the card and it may be ideal for early family lessons on budgeting and spending responsibly.
