London transit travellers stunned to see Rihanna on tube
7 Oct 2011

Travellers on London's transit system this week were shocked to see pop star Rihanna taking the tube to get to her own gig.

According to the Sun, the hitmaker even whipped out an Oyster Card to access the train without having to queue and buy tickets, showing she may be more down-to-earth than many people think.

She boarded the Jubilee underground line to head to the O2 Arena and happily posed for photos with fans, chatting about her forthcoming concert during the journey.

Rihanna then got out at North Greenwich station and was taken to where she needed to be at the performance venue.

"Fans couldn't believe they were sharing a carriage with a world famous pop star," an onlooker said.

Anyone hoping to use their Oyster Card in the hope of seeing a pop star on the tube may wish to heed the advice of Transport for London, which recently said that the deadline for renewals is approaching soon.
