Loyalty card proposed for Derbyshire town
14 Mar 2011

loyalty card has been proposed for Erewash, Derbyshire, and is benefitting from support from an Ilkeston travel agent.

According to the Ilkeston Advertiser, proposed card would give shoppers exclusive offers in stores right across the borough, which is situated east of Derby.

If the loyalty scheme goes ahead, Ilkeston Co-op Travel in Bath Street has pledged to support it by offering card holders a five per cent discount on all bookings.

Paul Calladine, market towns coordinator at regeneration company Erewash Partnership, which hopes to launch the card, told the news provider: "It's fantastic that Co-op has got behind us.

"We've had a great response to this on the website already."

Shops have been encouraged to sign up to the loyalty card scheme, which is being backed and advertised by the newspaper.

It is under consultation until March 28th, and will be completely free for retailers and the public who sign up, if it goes ahead.
