Novacroft set to manage Oyster Card schemes
23 Aug 2011
Individuals who use an Oyster card while travelling on the London Underground transit system could be affected by an announcement from Transport for London.
According to Insider Media, Northamptonshire-based smart ticketing company Novacraft has signed a deal to take control of several Oyster card schemes.
As part of the three-year agreement, the company is set to take charge of the department's concessionary passes, which provide proof about the age of particular passengers.
Debra Charles, Novacroft's Managing Director, claimed that the contract was a testament to the quality of service delivered by the firm and its employees.
"Novacroft's service to Transport for London meets the challenge of combining quality, innovation and capacity for improvement with value for money. Novacroft looks forward to continuing to work with Transport for London," she added.
The organisation develops and manages citizen cards and smart ticketing solutions, with key clients including Transport for London and the Association of Train Operating Companies.
