As an IP based technology payments network, sQuid also works across international borders. In the UK sQuid is regulated by the FSA and in Kenya we work with Family Bank.

Family Bank Limited (FBL) is one of the leading commercial banks in Kenya and works with sQuid to help deliver funds and smart card services to University students such as those at KeMU.

Aid distribution in Kenya
sQuid on the SOS Children's Villages card
This contactless smart card was handed out by SOS Children's Villages in Kenya to those children who are supported by their charitable work. It is used to distribute aid and to manage donations, which are added to each account centrally by sQuid. In turn, these donations can then be collected onto the card by the beneficiary. Each card carries a blank white strip on the front upon which the card holder can write their name or add their mark.
