With an office in Nairobi sQuid already run a number of projects in Kenya and will be rolling out more e-money based schemes in the near future.
Aid distribution with SOS
sQuid on the SOS Children's Villages card in Kenya
Contactless smart cards are distributed by the charity SOS Children's Villages in Kenya to those children who are supported by their charitable work. the sQuid network is used to distribute centrally managed funds, which are added to each account by sQuid. In turn, these donations can then be collected onto the card by the beneficiary.

Bursary distribution at KeMU University
sQuid on the KeMU campus card
KeMU is the first University in Kenya to adopt this exciting new smart card technology from sQuid. The card is issued by Family Bank and bursary's are topped up to students cards regularly for tuition, accommodation and other sundry expenses through the sQuid payments network.
