What is a purse?

What different purses can I find in my sQuid account?
When logging into your account, you may find there is more than one purse listed. You can use different purses for different purchases for example one purse may be used to pay for cashless catering at your school, a different purse for pay-as-you-go bus travel (think of them as separate compartments of your own purse or wallet). You can top up and view transactions for each purse separately in your online sQuid account.

sQuid purse to pay for small value items
Used to pay for small value items instead of having to use cash. There are a number of specific locations and places you can pay with sQuid. Click here to find out where.

 

Top up your child's cashless catering purse
Top up this purse, your child's cashless catering purse online, so that they can then pay for their lunch or a snack from the school canteen. Top up by bank transfer, or from a credit or debit card.

 

Loyalty purse
If you have a sQuid loyalty card, this is where you will be able to view any loyalty reward value you have collected. The reward for each loyalty programme depends on each scheme partner. Visit their web site for more details.

 

GMPTE Transit purse
If you have a Bolton Smart or BSmart card, you can top up the travel purse, which you can use to pay for travel on any Arriva Bus in Bolton. For more details click here.

 

BSmart purse
The BSmart purse is on all Bolton Council issued BSmart cardss for 11-16 year olds and allows you to spend any bursary allocated eMoney on leisure activities. Visit the BSmart provider map page to find out more.
