Who can use it?

sQuid is available to all whatever age, from 7 to 107
Anyone is eligible to use sQuid, whether they’re young, old, or somewhere in between. If you have trouble remembering PIN numbers, or you just hate fiddling with coins, then these are just a few more reasons why sQuid is for you. Watch the sQuid video to find out more...

You can pick one up at a sQuid shop, load it by doing a top-up in store and you are on your way no need to register and you can use your card anonymously.

Register your card online and protect your balance if your card is lost or stolen. You can also make Top ups online, check your balance and view your transactions.

 

Where can I use sQuid?

sQuid is available in a number of different places
sQuid is available on its own distinctive pink card, called a sQuidcard. You can find out where on the sQuid map.

sQuid eMoney is also found on a number of other cards
In Bolton, sQuid is on the Bolton Council smart card family. These cards are used to provide a number of different Council services from library access to Leisure and will soon be used for transit on the local buses.

In Dundee sQuid is also on the National Entitlement Card (NEC) which includes the Young Scot NEC card.

In Coffee Republic stores in London, sQuid is being used as a payment and loyalty card, where customers earn a 10% reward on everything they spend in-store.

A couple of schools in Wiltshire, Sheldon and St. Augustine's Catholic College, are using sQuid as a cashless catering card. Child friendly, this enables parents to top up their children's cards, track their spending online and budget how much their child spends.

sQuid is suitable for young children. There is absolutely no risk of them getting into debt as they can only spend what is loaded onto the card. If you are a parent, sQuid is a great way for you to manage your kids’ pocket money – you can top up their cards whenever you want, and you can see where they spend their money by checking the transaction breakdown online.
