Your holdall smartcard®

holdall is closing on 30 April 2021

The holdall scheme is closing on 30 April 2021. Please do not top-up your card any more using this website.

If you have a sQuid balance on your holdall card, you can continue to use it to buy travel until 30 April, unless the bus operator has discontinued it before this.
After 30 April you can get a full refund of any unspent balance by emailing and providing your holdall card number, name, address and contact number.

What are the benefits of using sQuid on holdall®?

Never worry about having the right change on the bus - Put some money in your sQuid Travel Purse on your holdall smartcard® and you will always have money to travel. You can even set up auto-top-up so you will never run out of cash for travel.

Get what you pay for – Money in your sQuid travel purse can be used for pay as you go tickets. There is no need to pre-buy season tickets for a particular bus if you are not sure you will always need it. Money in your sQuid travel purse lets you buy tickets on the day you need it.

The kids can always get home – Money in your sQuid travel purse cannot be spent on anything except travel on participating buses. You can rest assured that the money in your child’s travel purse will only be spent on the bus. Make sure they always have travel money to get home safe.

Just like paying with cash, only cheaper – Most buses offer a discount on the regular cash fare when you pay with sQuid (see individual bus operators for details)

If you have lost your Scholar's Travel pass, you can order a new one by visiting the Norfolk County Council website. Reporting your holdall smartcard® as lost, stolen or damaged means that everything on your smartcard will be blocked. This includes any prepaid tickets you may have purchased and any money you may have in your sQuid Travel Purse. Once you have ordered and received a replacement card, you can register it to your sQuid account to transfer any remaining funds to your new card.

Auto top up sQuid on the holdall smartcard®

Automatic Top-Up, also referred to as Auto Top-Up, is a convenient way of making sure your sQuid Travel Purse is always loaded. By setting up an Auto top-up on the sQuid portal, you will be able to make sure you never run out of credit. Whenever your travel balance falls below £8 your account will be topped up with £20 from your stored Debit or Credit Card. This top-up is collected when you use your smartcard on a ticket machine to pay your bus fare. Automatic Top-Up gives you the peace of mind of knowing your holdall smartcard® is always ready to travel.
