Academy Trust switches to sQuid and reclaims valuable administration time

Lound Academy Trust were already aware of the potential benefits of an online payment system. However, their existing provider didn't offer the ease of use and flexibility the school and parents were looking for. Lound Academy Trust found their existing cashless payment system complicated to use for staff and parents. Tracey was also very impressed with sQuid's communication functionality, which enables the school to easily communicate with parents via SMS, email or letter, and the system's quick and easy-to-use reporting features to track and manage payments.


Improved parental take-up enables a cashless school

Since its introduction, parents have found sQuid easier to use as they can make their payments from the comfort oftheir home, or via the mobile app if they're out and about. This has resulted in improved take-up: "approximately 60% of parents were registered with the previous system, now 100% of parents are registered with sQuid", says Tracey. "We have managed to get everyone on board and parents really like it. sQuid has enabled us to become a cashless school, which is what we were aiming for."

Going cashless has been of great benefit to Lound Academy, and Tracey advises that they have reclaimed around 20% of office time, which they can now dedicate to other tasks, as with sQuid they no longer need to count, reconcile and bank cash.
