We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant service, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with sQuid. All data held by sQuid is securely stored in a fortified remote data centre within the EU. In the case that you wish to cancel your registration as a sQuidcard.com member, once an account is deleted a flag goes on the database and your personal data cannot be accessed. However, it stays on the system for a period of 7 years, after which it will be completely erased.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request a copy of the personal information sQuid holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. We have measures in place to safeguard your personal information within our system. The below procedure sets out our obligations and the steps we take in the event that a data breach does occur:

  1. As soon as we are aware that a personal data breach has occurred we will investigate the cause and keep a record of our findings

  2. We will raise the incident with our Data Protection Officer and Senior Management team

  3. If it is determined that a personal data breach has occurred, we will comply with our duty to inform the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) within 72 hours of being aware of the incident, even if we do not yet possess all of the necessary information

  4. We will also advise any affected parties of a personal data breach and the steps we are taking to contain the breach and protect your information
