The University of East Anglia Partners with sQuid to Launch ePayments on Campus

The University of East Anglia (UEA) has partnered with sQuid, the electronic payments network, to launch the very latest in contactless payment technology on campus.
The new multi-function Campus Card includes sQuid payment technology as well as ID, door access, eMoney and library membership. Staff and students can save time as they’re able to top up, manage their money and are provided with a statement of their transactions online at anytime. The innovative all-in-one smart card reduces queuing time and the contactless payment is processed in a matter of seconds – eliminating the need for multiple cards or to carry cash around the campus.
Users can preload funds onto the card to pay for food and drink at Campus Kitchen outlets or other non-catering items at Student Union run outlets. There are even plans to include the contactless payment facility in a University coffee van which will roam the campus – making it easier than ever to grab a coffee on the go.
sQuid, partnering with Fidelity, a leading supplier of EPoS systems and software, were best placed to deliver the complete solution for the UEA due to their excellent track record in providing payment solutions to Universities in the UK and Africa.
